Growing up in St. Louis, Alice always admired the women who could casually enjoy a single glass of wine with dinner.
To her, they seemed so poised and in control. For Alice, however, alcohol didn’t feel like a simple indulgence.
Once she started drinking, she couldn’t stop, and what began as a social activity quickly spiraled into dependence.
At first, drinking provided relief. Alcohol eased her social anxiety, made her feel comfortable in her own skin, and helped her fit in.
But over time, that comfort came with a price.
Alice found herself embarrassed by her behavior at social gatherings, often drinking well past her limits.
After a series of nights she’d rather forget, she made a vow to only drink alone. She thought she could keep her drinking under control, saving herself from public shame and embarrassment.
But drinking alone didn’t lead to control; it led to a habit that took over her life. Every night, Alice found herself finishing an entire bottle of wine, with reality TV her only company.
Her evenings, which she once thought she could manage, had become the focus of her day.
Alice admits that she would wake up in the morning, counting down the hours until she could pour that first glass of wine.
She rotated between three different wine shops in her neighborhood, hoping no one would notice just how much she was buying.
By June 16, 2023, Alice had reached a breaking point. She looked in the mirror and knew she couldn’t keep living this way. In that moment, she made a decision: to quit drinking cold turkey.
There was no grand plan—just a fierce determination to make a change and reclaim her life.
The days that followed weren’t easy, and she still experiences occasional nightmares where she dreams of relapsing.
But each time she wakes up, she feels a deep sense of gratitude for the progress she’s made and the life she’s building for herself.
Now, after 16 months of sobriety, Alice’s life is brighter and healthier than ever before. She wakes up with clarity, she moves through her day with purpose, and she feels truly happy in her own skin—something she hadn’t felt in years.
Sobriety hasn’t just brought personal healing; it’s brought stability to her professional life as well.
Before her struggle with alcohol became unimaginable, she had collaborated with well-known brands like Calvin Klein.
Today she is committed to her health, growth, and the dreams she once thought were out of reach.
Her sobriety and resilience are now part of her story, and her clients, friends, and followers see a strong woman who has turned her life around.
Alice’s journey serves as a powerful reminder that change is possible, even when it feels out of reach.
She understands how isolating it can feel to be trapped by addiction, which is why she’s passionate about reaching out to others who are in similar situations.
If you’re struggling, Alice wants you to know that there is a way out. It isn’t easy, but with determination, support, and a willingness to embrace vulnerability, it is absolutely possible.
Whether it’s through sharing her story or being there for someone in need, Alice hopes to inspire others to take that first step toward the life they deserve.
If you or someone you know needs a listening ear, Alice encourages you to reach out. You don’t have to face it alone.
Her story is proof that freedom is within reach, and that there is light and hope on the other side of addiction.
